Engineering and construction services organization Civmec
has hosted a delegation from Japan
to evaluate the enterprise's functionality in constructing Australia's
future submarines.
eight participants of a technical assessment group from
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries visited Civmec's centers at Henderson,
south of Perth. Mitsubishi is
working with the japanese authorities on its submarine bid.
The group, headed via Dr Yoshiaki Shimokusu (senior manager,
electricity & surroundings gadget department) and Noboru Flores (vice
president & executive adviser included defense & space structures),
spent an afternoon at Civmec.
further to being shown thru the agency's expansive
fabrication facility, they inspected the submarine hull segment which Civmec
constructed past due final year as an illustration of its abilities.
The visit was an opportunity for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
to officially investigate Civmec's abilities and facilities with appreciate to
the destiny submarine mission. Civmec is understood to be the most effective
corporation in Western Australia
